When industry meets technical universities - our Ph.D. candidates with presentations during ENPP conference

Date: 02.06.2023

Our Department organized 5th edition of Energy-Efficient Industrial Power Electronics and Drives Conference (Energooszczędne Napędy Przekształtnikowe w Przemyśle - ENPP). The event took place in Sulislaw between May 31st and June 2nd. The conference created an environment for discussion on current requirements from the industry and set direction for future research in the universities. The list of participants included professors from our Department, delegates from Opole University of Technology and Silesian University of Technology, as well as representatives from the industry: Danfoss Poland, JaDan, KGHM Polska Miedz S.A., PGE GiEK Power Plant Opole, and INOVA Technical Innovation Center. Moreover, during the second day of the conference, our Ph.D. students presented their research to the audience. This created an excellent opportunity to share current trends in research activities in the field of electrical drives and power electronics. During the poster session, Ph.D. candidates demonstrated the following works:

  • Michał Adamczyk, M.Sc., Prof. Teresa Orłowska-Kowalska, "Current Sensor Fault Tolerant Vector Control for Induction Motor Drives Applied in Electric Vehicles".
  • Krystian Teler, M.Sc., Prof. Teresa Orłowska-Kowalska, "Neural Classifier of Current Sensor Faults in Field-Oriented Induction Motor Control".
  • Mateusz Dybkowski, D.Sc., Ph.D., Piotr Majdański, M.Sc., "Practical Impementation of a Voltage Model for Induction Motor Stator Flux Estimation".
  • Radosław Stanisławski, M.Sc., Grzegorz Kaczmarczyk, B.Sc., Marcin Kamiński, D.Sc., Ph.D. , "Realization of Parallel Neural Computing in an Industrial Controller".
  • Mateusz Malarczyk, M.Sc., Jarosław Szrek, Ph.D., Marcin Kamiński, D.Sc., Ph.D., "Implementation of a Meta-Heuristic Algorithm in the Design Process of a Wheel-Legged Robot Limb Geometry".
  • Amanuel Haftu Kahsay, M.Sc, Paweł Regulski, Ph.D., Piotr Derugo, Ph.D., „Artificial Intelligence Techniques to Track the Maximum Power Point of a Photovoltaic System”.

Congratulations for all your tremendous presentations and we wish you an abundance of scientific success!
