Dr Krisztián Horváth is a researcher working in the Department of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives at Széchenyi István University in Győr, Hungary. We are pleased to host him for a research internship from October 2024 to January 2025 in our Department. Dr Krisztián Horváth's research interests are mainly connected with control systems and state variable estimation in induction motors and PMSMs. His doctoral thesis dealt, among other things, with nonlinear Kalman Filters (EKF, UKF, CKF). Therefore, the topics of the joint research will concern advanced methods for the estimation of speed and other state variables of AC motors, also taking into account the complex mechanical connection of the drive system.
The supervisors of Dr Krisztián Horváth are Grzegorz Tarchała, D.Sc, Ph.D. as well as Karol Wróbel, D.Sc, Ph.D. and Piotr Derugo, Ph.D.
The internship is the result of several years of cooperation between the technical universities in Košice, Győr and Wrocław. Among other things, it has resulted in a grant from the Visegrad funds (more information here).
Welcome!
