On 9–10 September 2025, representatives of our Department took part in the third and final meeting of the PAEPEDE project: Pathways to Excellence in Power Electronics and Electrical Drives Education paepede.tech/ – financed by a Visegrad grant www.visegradfund.org/
During the meeting, we had the opportunity to participate in the Project Based Teaching of System Modelling and Control workshop, during which Prof. Dr. Miklós Kuczmann familiarised us with the PBL methodology for teaching the construction of electric drive control systems. Then, during the Teaching of Machine Learning-Based Control of Storage Devices meeting, Dr. Adrienn Dineva showed us how students learn to control power supply systems through simulations and experiments. At the end of the first day, Dr. Nárcisz Kulcsár showed how the same tasks can be differentiated in STEM education and how teaching through deduction and induction differs.
On the second day of the meeting, Audi representative Prof. Dr Dániel Feszty gave a presentation entitled AUDI Development Camp: Professional Collaboration Between Széchenyi István University and Audi Hungaria in Győr, in which he used his own experiences to illustrate how cooperation between universities and industry can look like. At the end of the official part, students from the SZEnergy team, who build electric vehicles for participation in student competitions on a daily basis, presented their case study. The meeting concluded with a panel discussion on potential further directions for cooperation and a visit to research and student laboratories.
We are grateful to our partners for these valuable meetings and look forward to more in the future.
