Intern from Keio University in our Department

Date: 24.02.2024

Kosuke Shikata, MSc, interned in our Department from 27 January to 24 February 2024. Mr Kosuke is a Ph.D. student at Keio University in Japan. The supervisor of his thesis is Professor Seiichiro Katsura, with whom we have co-operated for many years. Kosuke Shikata, together with the staff of our Department, conducted a study of resonant control systems and Kalman filters as applied to a dual-mass system. In addition, our guest gave a presentation entitled 'Vibration Damping Through Decoupling of Traveling/Reflected Waves' at an open departmental seminar.

Moreover, Kosuke Shikata had the opportunity to explore the beautiful places of not only our city, but also the country. We hope that it was an unforgettable adventure for him.

Our guest's visit was an extremely interesting experience for us and allowed us to further strengthen our cooperation with researchers from Keio University.
