The journal Power Electronics and Drives (PEAD), which is run by our Department, will soon be listed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), which means automatic inclusion in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) list. All the journal's publications from vol. 6 onward, i.e. from 2021, will be included in the world's most prestigious database of scientific publications, i.e. Web of Science. The indexing is carried out by Clarivate (formerly Thomson Reuters). This is the result of the editors' continuous work to improve the quality of the journal and the materials published in it.

The editor-in-chief of the journal is Prof. Teresa Orłowska-Kowalska, and her deputy is Prof. Mateusz Dybkowski. The editorial team also includes Prof. Marek Ciurys, Dr. Piotr Derugo and Prof. Grzegorz Tarchała.

The journal is a continuation and successor of Scientific Papers of the Institute of Electrical Machines, Drives and Measurements, in a new professional edition, and the articles in it are published exclusively in English. Indexing in such a prestigious database will certainly improve the recognition and reach of our journal. The journal should receive its Impact Factor in the near future (June 2024).
